What is Autism Spectrum Disorder Respite?
ASD respite is a family support service that provides temporary relief from the physical and emotional demands involved in caring for a child/youth with ASD.
Who is eligible for the Alternate Care Program?
- Children/youth 0-18 years of age with a confirmed diagnosis of ASD [Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder - Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS), Asperger's]
- Reside in Brant and Brant County with parent or legal guardian.
What can I expect?
Families who are eligible for this program will be prioritized for service considering greatest need based on a variety of considerations inclusive of but not limited to: behaviours, lack of respite, and availability of other formalized supports.
