Recreation And Camp Programs
What is the Recreation Program?
The Recreation Program provides a supportive, safe and inclusive environment where children and youth can participate in hands on, meaningful experiences. As a Recreation Program we provide engaging opportunities to explore and experiment with the world around us, discover and participate in our community, foster the development of new skills and build relationships.
The Recreation Program provides multiple evening, Saturday and P.D day programs each month, September through June, as well as one week of March Break camp. Through the summer months the Recreation Program offers multiple weeks of Summer Camp.
When supporting children/youth we will:
- follow their lead
- encourage autonomy
- give choices
- support goals
As a Recreation Program our goals are to promote:
- Development of new skills
- Social opportunities
- Building relationships
Clients eligible for Recreation and Camp programs are those who have an active status with Respite Services.
