The purpose of the Family Support Network (FSN) is to provide a forum for Lansdowne families to have opportunities to network, participate in educational, and share their input and feedback on Lansdowne services. In doing so, the FSN honours Lansdowne’s commitment to Family-centred practice.​
The Family Support Network has the primary objectives, to:

Offer networking opportunities for Lansdowne families;

Coordinate education specific to providing tools to build capacities and enhance family functioning;

Seek the input and feedback of families on current and future Lansdowne services, including strategic planning;

Increase engagement of families;
-
Promote communication and information sharing among families;

To encourage family advocacy.
What is the Family Support Network Committee?
The purpose of the Family Support Network Committee is to provide a forum for Lansdowne families to have opportunities to network, participate in educational opportunities, and share their input and feedback on Lansdowne services. In doing so, the Committee will honour Lansdowne’s commitment to Family-centred practice.

What are the objectives of the Lansdowne Link Family Support Network?
The Family Support Network Committee will have the following primary objectives, to:

Offer networking opportunities for Lansdowne families;

Coordinate education specific to providing tools to build capacities and enhance family functioning;

Seek the input and feedback of families on current and future Lansdowne services, including strategic planning;

Increase engagement of families;

Promote communication and information sharing among families;

To encourage family advocacy.

Committee Membership:
The committee will consist of a minimum of 4 members including:
a) parent/family representatives* (ideally to include parent/family board member), and
b) Lansdowne management team member (liaison with LCC agency).
*a minimum of 3 parent/family representatives

Frequency of Meetings:

Meetings will be scheduled every 2 months, at minimum four meetings per year.

Minutes of the meetings will be circulated among the committee members.

Information will be shared with families and other stakeholders as applicable.
