LOCATION:
Haldimand and Norfolk
Provide social work services to families receiving any LCC service. Focus is on individual, family and/or group service dependent on a family’s identified needs and priorities. Social Work provides short and long term support and resources to families. The focus includes: developing coping strategies, advocacy, building individual and family capacity, managing loss/grief, addressing psychosocial issues and emotional functioning, managing issues and concerns related to a child/youth’s disability, addressing illness or palliative conditions, and/or diminishing functional abilities. Provision of Social Work group treatment programs and goal based care plans.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and current registration as a Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
Preferred: Three years work related experience in paediatrics preferably in the areas of physical and/or developmental disabilities
Minimum: Related experience working with children and youth or families
