POSITION: Summer Support Workers - Recreation
Lansdowne Children's Centre - Brantford, ON
$20–$22 an hour

Responsibilities: Provide support as required to ensure that children/youth with special needs have opportunities to engage in recreational programs. This support may be provided in community camps and/or Lansdowne Recreation Programs.
Hours: July and August – Full Time Days, Monday to Friday
With additional training dates in May-June (evenings/Saturday)
Education:
Preferred - Post secondary school diploma in Human Services (ECE, DSW, CYW, Recreation/Leisure Studies, etc.).
Experience:
Preference will be given to applicants that have experience with:
working in recreation camps program
children with special needs, ages preschool to teens
proactive behaviour strategies
Other:
Emergency First Aid CPR Level C is required
Employment is conditional upon successful completion of background checks, including a police vulnerable sector check, proof of immunizations, including COVID-19 vaccination
Start Date: May 2023 for training, full time July 3 - September 1
