Application Questions

With a priority on diversity, equity and inclusion, our Governance Committee is seeking representation and participation from across our catchment area, including Brantford, Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk counties, Six Nations of the Grand River and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.

We promote a welcoming environment, a safe place for free conversation about skills, services and supports needed to meet the interests and demands of the children, youth and families seeking services and programs at Lansdowne Children's Centre.

The demographic questionnaire is a guideline, not a directive. It is our intention is to promote awareness and outreach to new candidates. This outreach also inquires about skillsets representing current gaps in our board competencies.

The Lansdowne Children's Centre Board of Directors is committed to having a Board composition that reflects the cultural diversity of our community and the diverse population we serve with respect to age, gender, Indigenous, People of Colour, 2SLGTBQ+, religion, ethnicity, etc. We encourage individuals with lived experience of marginalization to apply and self-identify in their application.

We encourage each candidate to consider all your life experiences that you feel could be value-added to our organization’s mission, and share what motivates you to want to volunteer your time and expertise in service of our clients: past, current and waiting, children, youth and their families.
