BRANTFORD, ON – Lansdowne Children’s Centre has been Accredited with Exemplary Standing by Accreditation Canada.
Being accredited is a measure of a health organization’s commitment to the highest possible standard of quality and performance, measured against internationally accepted best practices. “Exemplary Standing” is the highest level of accreditation possible, and Lansdowne Executive Director Rita-Marie Hadley was excited to share the results with her team and the community of Grand Erie.

“At Lansdowne we are driven by continuous improvement to better serve children and youth and their families, who access services, supports and resources through our sites. This achievement is a result of the hard work and dedication of many excellent people.”
One of the most rewarding elements of the survey’s summary notes that local partners told surveyors that Lansdowne is a great collaborator, “….always the first to respond to requests,” and “never taking the approach of being an expert, but bringing perspectives and approaches that elevate the expertise of all”.

The report also notes evidence that, “the board and leadership recognize staff as Lansdowne’s greatest and most valued resource,” and that “staff are deeply dedicated to the children and families.”
President of the Lansdowne Children’s Centre Board of Directors, John Bradford also shared a message of congratulations.
“We have an exceptional team working at Lansdowne, and on behalf of all the board I want to express how proud we are of this group, and the Gold Standard of care they provide. Even more so, in light of the capacity and accessibility challenges we’re facing with our facilities in Brantford.”
The Lansdowne children’s treatment centre accreditation process takes place every four years.
