Brantford Expositor reporter Vincent Ball’s coverage of the 41st annual Brantford Rotary Classic Run on June 1 featured Lansdowne Children’s Centre alumna Meghan Josling.

Meghan, 30, is a Special Olympian who was in the 10 km run category as preparation for the upcoming 2025 Special Olympics Ontario Provincial Summer Games in Brantford, which start July 10.

According to Leslie, Meghan’s mother, this is a drastic change from when her daughter was young, and struggled with her mobility before she was able to access services, including physiotherapy, from Lansdowne.

“Her story is a powerful reminder of the life-changing impact that early intervention and support can have on the lives of children with development delays,” Leslie told Vincent.

The life-changing work Lansdowne does is supported through events like the Rotary Classic Run, as the agency is one of the main beneficiaries of the fundraiser.
