World Children’s Day is on November 20 each year; it’s a day to advocate for the rights and welfare of kids around the world, and to give them a voice.

In recognition of the day, Tenaxx Logistics CEO Radhika Bahl and her team wanted to support a child-centred not-for-profit in their community.
Tenaxx staffer Sakshi Kapoor said she researched a few options, but after looking into Lansdowne Children’s Centre and the work it does to support babies, kids and teens with physical, communication and developmental challenges on their journey to reach their full potential, it was obvious that “This is the perfect place to come and give donations.”
On Nov. 19, Radhika and Sakshi came to the Brantford site to deliver boxes of individually wrapped snacks, including Bear Paws cookies, Goldfish crackers and Rice Krispie Treats, for the centre’s upcoming Holiday Block Party for clients and their families, on Dec. 7 in Brantford, and Dec. 12 in Simcoe.
“To a small extent, we thought we could be useful to somebody who actually needs help,” Sakshi said, adding that a little effort from a lot of people can go a long way.
“If we can actually make one percent difference of things, and 100 people make one per cent difference, that’s 100 percent.”
