The Resource Consultant plays an important role in providing education, mentoring and advocacy for clients in Licensed Early Learning Settings. The incumbent facilitates and promotes the inclusion of children aged 0-12 in partnership with caregivers, parents and the community.
• Supports assessments, direct observations and interactions
• Provides supports to clients, parents and Early Learning staff via recommendations, strategies and resources
• Facilitates case management and coordination of services
• Completes case notes, behaviour plans, reports, assessment, referrals
• Collaborates with other agencies and professionals
• Develops and implements workshops, presentations, in-services
• Provides guidance through mentoring opportunities
• Establish good rapport with children, families, and involved professionals
• Be informed of and adhere to Agency Policies and Procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS:
•Early Childhood Educator Diploma
•Graduate certificate as a Resource Consultant
•Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
•Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
•Previous work experience with children with special needs.
•Communicate effectively
•Demonstrate initiative and independent thinking
•Ability to collaborate with other team members
