Lansdowne is looking for skilled volunteers, passionate about the services and programs supporting our region's children and youth. Ways To Give Events News Meet The Kids Donor Stories Our Board Contact Us Making a Difference For Children and Youth Share your voice with Lansdowne Children's Centre Foundation Board Member Application Board Member Eligibility Members (and therefore, applicants) must be at least 18 years of age. Applicants must undergo background checks [police and Child & Family Services of Grand Erie] Connection with Lansdowne Children's Centre Foundation as a past client, client family, event participant or foundation partner is beneficial, but is not a prerequisite for consideration. The Board of Directors for Lansdowne Children’s Centre Foundation has a maximum of 16 voting members, and an Ex-Officio appointed Medical Director. Your Board Committment Board members are required to attend monthly meetings, typically during midday. The Board meets as a united group on alternating months. Committees meet as sub-groups on alternate months and as scheduled. Board membership requires participation on a Committee. One Board member also serves as a liaison to Lansdowne Children's Centre Board Participation and attendance at Centre and community functions, including Lansdowne Foundation events, is valued but not mandatory. Application Questions With a priority on diversity, equity and inclusion, our Governance Committee is seeking representation and participation from across our catchment area, including Brantford, Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk counties, Six Nations of the Grand River and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We promote a welcoming environment, a safe place for free conversation about skills, services and supports needed to meet the interests and demands of the children, youth and families seeking services and programs at Lansdowne Children's Centre. The demographic questionnaire is a guideline, not a directive. It is our intention is to promote awareness and outreach to new candidates. This outreach also inquires about skillsets representing current gaps in our board competencies. The Lansdowne Children's Centre Foundation Board of Directors is committed to having a Board composition that reflects the cultural diversity of our community and the diverse population we serve with respect to age, gender, Indigenous, People of Colour, 2SLGTBQ+, religion, ethnicity, etc. We encourage individuals with lived experience of marginalization to apply and self-identify in their application. Starting at $185/hour as of May 1, 2025 Program fees are i nclusive of the in-program time, indirect supervision by a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), report writing and prep-work that occurs before and after each program appointment. Intensive ABA Learn More Fee-for-service therapy intended for children ages 0 - 12 years. Your child is taught essential skills and management of challenging behaviours. Goal-Based ABA Learn More Fee-for-service therapy available to children and youth ages newborn to 18 years. This program will help your child reach their unique goals in a series of weekly appointments, delivered in a mix of 1:1, groups and workshops, with an emphasis on parent/caregiver training/consultation.
