Lansdowne Children's Centre for child development

Services & Programs

​Lansdowne Children's Centre connects caregivers with local child development services and support. Conditions can include: Autism Specturm Diagnosis (ASD), Cerebral Palsy (CP), Spina Bifida, Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), Intellectual Disabilities (ID), Chromosomal disorders and Neurological conditions.

RECREATION SERVICES

Every Kid Counts (EKC)

The Every Kid Counts program provides an equal opportunity for children and youth with disabilities and/or additional needs that require extra support to participate in local, community-operated recreational programs of their choice

Each child/youth is matched with a Support Worker who provides both hands-on and programming support to the child.

RECREATION SERVICES

Therapeutic Recreation (TR)

Therapeutic Recreation services are for children and youth age 10 - 18, thoughtfully designed to develop and facilitate individual goals, adding to a participant’s capacity for enjoyment, through engagement in leisure activity.

RESPITE SERVICES

Alternate Care

Respite support for children and youth up to age 18 with developmental delays. Eligible clients are matched with a family who provides care in their home or in the child's home.
