About the event
In partnership with the Brantford Golf and Country Club, Lansdowne Children’s Centre Foundation is excited to celebrate 50-years of helping children and youth realize their optimal potential. Together with our sponsors we are hosting a celebration gala on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
This event will include dinner, entertainment, a silent auction, fundraising raffle, and interactive displays to transport you back in time and be part of local history. Experience the early years of Lansdowne Children's Centre at Lansdowne Public School and beyond, exploring the evolution of our region's children's treatment centre, including the origins of the Rotary Club of Brantford Crippled Children's Centre at Brantford General Hospital, and the Brant County Cerebral  Palsy Parents' Council, Association and Centre.
We are honouring the impact that Lansdowne Children’s Centre has made on thousands of families across the region of Grand Erie, including the city of Brantford, Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk counties, Six Nations of the Grand River and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
Since 1974, Lansdowne has been a partner to caregivers, helping children and families to realize their potential. In 2024, Lansdowne is a SmartStart Hub connecting caregivers with resources, services and supports, for infants, children, and youth facing physical, communication and/or developmental needs.
In January of 2024, while kicking off celebrations to recognize 50-years of service to our community, Lansdowne also announced our next biggest challenge – building a new, state of the art children’s treatment centre facility that will expand our operations and bring help to the thousands of children on our waitlists.
Proceeds from this fundraising gala benefit the Lansdowne Children’s Centre Foundation, and support the capital needs and continued development of programs that support children and youth with special needs. Our goal is to provide children of all abilities with equal opportunity to experience childhood in our community and discover their potential.
