About the event
Lansdowne Children’s Centre, in partnership with community organizations across Brantford and Brant County, is proud to join the City of Brantford for a World Autism Day Flag Raising Ceremony on Thursday, April 2 at 4 p.m. in Harmony Square, downtown Brantford.
This annual event brings our community together in recognition, celebration, and support of children, youth, and adults with autism spectrum diagnosis, and their families, educators and caregivers. The ceremony will include brief presentations from guest speakers who will share personal stories about their lived experiences and speak to the meaningful impact that supportive community programs and services – like those offered through Lansdowne Children’s Centre – have had on their lives.
The flag raising is an opportunity for our community to stand united in demonstrating inclusion, acceptance, and understanding, while highlighting the strengths, voices, and contributions of autistic individuals.
