What you'll do
Key Responsibilities
· Provide evidence-based ABA treatment procedures to promot client growth.
· Demonstrates a respectful relationship with each child and family and recognize their rights and promote dignity and well-being
· Maintains communication with families respective of the AT role, directing appropriate issues to the Registered Behaviour Analyst
· Implement individual treatment plans supervised by the Registered Behaviour Analyst
· Implement and role model effective behaviour management strategies, as appropriate
· Be the ‘primary therapist’ for multiple clients with the responsibility of ensuring organized and updated client information and programs
· Organize and lead therapeutic groups as appropriate
· Schedule treatment sessions in coordination with family, school and other services
· Provide parent training (in-vivo, consultation, workshops)
· Develop and implement parent training in-vivo, consultation and develop appropriate resources/materials

Education, Qualifications and Certifications
Qualifications
· Related university degree or college diploma complemented with an Autism and Behavioural Science Ontario College Graduate Certificate or Behavioural Science Technician (B.S.T.) and/or has obtained the Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) certification.
· Minimum of a Diploma from a recognized community college resulting in training relevant to working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
• Hands-on experience of at least 1 year in providing ABA treatment with individuals with autism.
• Previous experience with children with special needs.
