These activities may include grasping, feeding, dressing, grooming or play skills. (OT) Occupational Therapists (OT) at Lansdowne Children's Centre work with infants, children and youth. and their families, to improve skills and participation in daily activities. OT focuses on fine motor skills, typically thought of as the use of hands and upper extremities. Fine motor skills include activities such as reaching, grasping and manipulating objects with your hands, and can also involve vision, specifically visual motor skills, often referred to as hand-eye coordination. With accessibility at its core, this event offers a joyful and engaging experience for kids of all abilities—featuring music, games, and festivities that welcome neurodivergent participants and accomodate those with mobility and communication challenges. Yes. Brant Park has a washroom building walking/rolling distance from the event. There are also portable washroom stalls on the event grounds. How to prepare for weather? Fall events can be tricky. We recommend layers so you can adjust as needed for sun, wind and light rain. A hat is a good idea too for outdoor fun. There is little coverage available if it's raining, so in the event of heavy rain or thunderstorms (or snow!) we will cancel or postpone the event. What is the ground surface? The parking lot is a packed dirt and gravel drive. The walking and rolling path is an asphalt road. The carnival games and attractions are on the grass around the pavillion. This may be done in person, by telephone, in writing, or you may also request a meeting with the Supervisor. The Supervisor will acknowledge the complaint within one working day of receiving notification. • If you believe the resolution is not sufficient, you may request the concern be addressed with our Executive Director. This may be done in person, by telephone, in writing, or you may also request a meeting with the Executive Director. The Executive Director will acknowledge the concern within one working day of receiving notification. • The Executive Director may call a meeting of the relevant parties to assist with problem solving. The group will discuss the concern, collect information, if necessary, and explain what they think can be done about the concern. The group may schedule an appointment for you to attendto discuss the concern as appropriate to the situation. There may also be follow up by sending information to you in writing. • The decision of the Executive Director will be final and binding on the Centre and the client/ family. • All concerns that result in a meeting with the Executive Director will be reported to the Professional Advisory Committee at its next regularly scheduled meeting.
