Since 2004, Autism Services at Lansdowne Children's Centre has supported children, youth, and families in the region of the city of Brantford and County of Brant. The program provides evidence-informed autism supports that help families build skills, access resources, and navigate their child's developmental journey.
Our caring staff get to know our children and families well, and learn how to best suit their needs. Our Family-Centered principles guide our relationship working with children, parents and caregivers in collaboration. We also have access to other specialist Lansdowne team members should you have questions or needs outside of Autism Services.
Our clinical team is committed to maintaining the highest standards of professional practice in behaviour analysis. Our Registered Behaviour Analysts (RBAs) are regulated professionals in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) and are approved providers within the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). They adhere to the College's standards of practice, ethical requirements, and professional accountability.
Our Autism therapists provide services under the supervision and direction of qualified behaviour analysts and follow competencies and best-practice standards aligned with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®) framework, ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence-based, and person-centred behavioural services for children, youth, and families.
Autism Services include family support and service coordination, Foundational Family Services, caregiver education, clinician consultations (clinics), workshops, social recreation opportunities, caregiver-mediated early years programs, webinars, and individualized autism programming and behaviour support plans, including Comprehensive ABA and Focused ABA services.
