The grand finale of the Heroes Walk and Roll Summer Family Movie Night Series is fast approaching.

The community is invited to come out to the Simcoe Recreation Centre (182 South Dr., Simcoe) from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 11 for an indoor movie night.
This evening will include games, activities, crafts and refreshments – all for FREE. There will also be special guests there: several Therapeutic Paws of Canada dogs and their handlers.
“The Heroes Walk and Roll Summer Family Movie Night Series has been a fantastic way for Lansdowne to connect with families across our catchment area of Grand Erie region, and let them know more about the services, programs and resources we offer for babies, kids and teens with physical, communication and/ or developmental additional needs,” said Tamara Botting, communications coordinator.
“This has also been an amazing opportunity for us to partner with other service providers in the region, such as EarlyON, Haldimand-Norfolk REACH, and Therapeutic Paws of Canada. When a community’s service organizations assemble, it’s a super opportunity for team approach as we offer services, events, etc. to better serve local families.”
To carry on the theme with the special guests coming to the Sept. 11 event, organizers will be screening Dog Man (2025).
The movie will be shown at medium volume, and the room will still be lit. Guests are welcome to move about while the movie is playing, engaging with the special guests, activities and games. Participants are invited to bring their own chairs and/or blankets (like an indoor picnic) or use the chairs available from the venue. Please note: childcare is not provided at this event; parent/ caregiver supervision is required.
The Heroes Walk and Roll Summer Family Movie Night Series is part of the lead up to the Heroes Walk and Roll fundraising campaign. Register your fundraising team today at www.lansdownecentre.ca/heroeswalkandroll, and be sure to come out for the family fun fair celebration in Brant Park on Oct. 4.
Guests are invited to wear their hero-themed clothes or costumes to all Heroes Walk and Roll events – show off what ‘hero’ means to you!

Ohh, I prefer game nights! I’ve always loved games, especially when there’s some real action behind them. That’s why I was super into this $1 deposit deal I found here: https://casinoonlineca.ca/blog/ruby-fortune-1-deposit/ . It’s not often you get a chance to jump into real-money slots and tables with such a low entry point. Perfect for people like me who don’t want to risk much but still wanna feel the rush. It’s smooth, works in Canada, and honestly gave me way more value than I expected from a buck. Way better than burning $20 for nothing on other sites.
