Led by team members from Recreation Services at Lansdowne Children's Centre, the Lansdowne Crusiers team continue a grand tradition of participating in the annual Rotary Brantford Classic Run fundraising event, held at W. Ross MacDonald School in Brantford on Sunday, June 7.

Brantford, ON - Lansdowne Children's Centre is one of the original children's programs supported by the Rotary Brantford Classic Run, that started over four decades earlier to raise funds in the community to help expand services and supports for all children, particularly those with special needs.

The Rotary Club of Brantford has been a leading partner in the support and development of Lansdowne Children's Centre since its founding in 1974, and even earlier as a founding partner of the Brant County Cerebral Palsy Centre at the Brantford General Hospital.

On April 16, 2024, Rotary Club president Mike Mears and Eric Sterne attended a recognition event at Lansdowne Children's Centre at 39 Mount Pleasant Street to accept an award on behalf of the Rotary Club of Brantford, presented by Lansdowne Executive Director Rita-Marie Hadley and Board Chair John Bradford. The award marked 50 years of partnership and was part of Lansdowne's 50th anniversary celebration.
