It’s important every so often to pause and take stock of what you’re doing well, and where you can improve.
“At Lansdowne, one of our foundational goals is to provide family-centered services. We can only do this with feedback from the families we serve.
"This crucial insight from families helps to inform opportunities for improvement and celebration across all our sites."
"
We are grateful for the time families take to complete this annual survey to help us meet the needs of families in our communities,” said Alissa Shuker, Manager of Quality, Continuous Improvement and the SmartStart Hub.
The annual Lansdowne Children’s Centre Client Satisfaction Survey is an opportunity for the families served by Lansdowne to provide feedback.
The spring 2025 survey link was emailed to 3,100 clients. 192 clients completed and submitted the survey.

Almost all of the respondents said that they either agreed or strongly agreed with these statements:
· Lansdowne respects our privacy
· Lansdowne helps us feel like we belong
· Lansdowne provides opportunities to make decisions about treatment
Overall, the survey results showed that Lansdowne was doing some things well, including:
· Appointment reminders
· Inclusive events
· Staff are helpful
· Welcoming environment
· Resources available
· Family Engagement
Areas that were identified as needing improvement were:
· Address long wait times
· Increase communication
· While-you-wait resources
· Transition support
Based on the specific feedback from the client survey, Lansdowne’s management team outlined these next steps as items to work towards:
· Offering a tiered model of services
· Increasing feedback opportunities after services
· Developing website resources for families
· Transition clinics (non-Developmental Services Ontario eligible)
The link for the next Lansdowne Children’s Centre Client Satisfaction Survey link is slated to be released in spring 2026. Client families are encouraged to participate and provide their feedback.
“As we support your family’s journey at Lansdowne Children’s Centre, please consider the importance of sharing your voice with us. We want to hear from you!”
