Updated: Mar 30, 2023

Brantford - Lansdowne Children's Centre and the Family Support Network are organizing a Summer Camp Fair to be hosted at 39 Mount Pleasant Street on Saturday March 11 to provide Lansdowne families with access to organizers of community child and youth camps and events.

Said Renee Cochrane, family engagement coordinator,

“We're really excited to bring community camps together, in one space, and offer parents an opportunity to connect with organizers and discover all that's available for the children and youth this summer in Brantford and Brant County.“

The table top display event will feature representatives from summer activities, events and camps hosted in and around Brantford and Brant County for children and youth. Current, past and wait list clients of Lansdowne Children's Centre are all eligible and invited to attend the information event.

"It can be challenging for a parent of a child with special needs to find out what summer programs are available in the community, what are the requirements for eligibility and how to organize support services. We hope to reduce the time and stress that goes into that effort."

Beginning at 10:00am on Saturday March 11 at Lansdowne in Brantford, client families will have the opportunity to explore the different displays and present their questions to the representatives. The event will be organized in the hallways of Lansdowne for a walk/roll-through experience.

All Adults attending this event are asked to please wear a mask while visiting Lansdowne Children's Centre. All children able to are also requested to please wear a mask.
