Mini photo sessions for Autism Awareness Day supporting families, Lansdowne Children’s Centre

Stacey Muller is using her photography business to support families like hers who have a child with Autism.

Autism Awareness Day is on April 2, and in recognition of that, Stacey is offering mini photo sessions at her Brantford studio. Each session is a minimum $20 donation; all of the donations will be given to Lansdowne Children’s Centre.

In an online post, Stacey shared, “As many of you know, our son has been diagnosed over the years with autism, epilepsy, and other neurological challenges, and

"Lansdowne has been an incredibly support for us – helping with meetings, guidance, school supports, and connecting us with the right resources when we needed them most. We are beyond thankful for everything they have done for our family, and this is our way of giving back.”

The sessions can be booked for the afternoon of Saturday, March 21 and throughout the day on Wednesday, March 25.

Families are asked to let Stacey know ahead of time if their child is sensitive to flash or needs accommodations.

“This will be a safe, supportive, low-pressure environment for all families,” she said online, noting that extra time will be allowed if needed. “No one will feel rushed.”

Each session will include two edited digital images.

“Let’s come together and support a place that helps so many children and parents every day,”

Stacey said.

Lynda Henriksen, Director of Development and Community Relations for Lansdowne Children’s Centre, expressed gratitude to Stacey for organizing the fundraiser, calling it “a heartfelt, meaningful initiative.”

She added, “Stacey’s fundraiser is a beautiful testament to the power of community and the deeply personal connections formed between families and the staff at Lansdowne Children's Centre. Seeing a parent turn their personal journey into a beacon of hope and support for others is truly inspiring.

“By leading this initiative for Autism Day, Stacey isn't just giving back – she is ensuring that more families in Grand Erie can access the life-changing care and services they need to help their children reach their potential.

"We are profoundly grateful for her passion, her energy, and her dedication to the Lansdowne community."
