Mobile Cancer Screening Coach coming to Lansdowne Children’s Centre Brantford site

BRANTFORD, ON – The Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Regional Cancer Program’s Mobile Cancer Screening Coach is coming to Lansdowne Children’s Centre’s Brantford site on Tuesday, September 16.

The coach can provide screening mammograms and cervical screenings on site, as well as help accessing an at-home poop test to screen for colon cancer, and resources to help quit smoking. These services are provided free of charge.

Appointments are available from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

(with a lunch break from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.).

You can schedule your appointment ahead of time by calling 905-975-4467 or 1-855-338-3131, or drop in on the day of (drop in appointments are subject to availability).

To access the services, you will need...

to present either your OHIP or Interim Federal Health Benefits card. The coach is available for both Lansdowne staff and client parents/ caregivers.

Lansdowne client parents/ caregivers who need childcare during their appointment can contact Renee Cochrane, family engagement coordinator, by email at RCochrane@lansdownecc.com by Friday, September 12 at 3:00 p.m. to make arrangements.
