Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 in his 89th year, Hilton Lyons, beloved husband of Eleanor Lyons for 63 years. Loving father of Scott (Michele) Lyons and Todd Lyons. Much loved grandfather of Calder, Michael (Rebecca MacKinnon), Abigail and Hailey Lyons. Loving brother of Mary Skipper (Ken 2022). Fondly remembered by Darlene Lyons.
Hilton followed his father Franklin (as Hilton's sons have followed him), into the family business Brantford Telephone Answering Service, now Extend Communications, for 30 years before retiring in the late '90s to enjoy the cottage and travelling in the RV. Also a long time member of the Rotary Club of Brantford, and Past Chair of Lansdowne Children's Centre.
The family will receive friends at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road N. Brantford on Monday from 5-8 p.m., and Tuesday 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service held in the chapel at 2 p.m. A private family interment will happen at a later date. Casual attire only.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Hilton to the Lansdowne Children's Centre.
