LANSDOWNE AND 98.9 MYFM RAISING AWARENESS WITH ‘MILESTONE MOMENTS’

SIMCOE, ON – Lansdowne Children’s Centre has teamed up with Norfolk’s 98.9 MyFM radio station to deliver weekly content developed to help connect families and caregivers with resources, supports and services for children faced with physical, communication and/or developmental needs.

Lansdowne Children's Centre Milestone Moments air on Tuesdays in Norfolk on 98.9 MyFM


Beginning November 21st Lansdowne will be featured each Tuesday on 98.9 MyFM radio, providing a Milestone Moment, highlighting a common question or concern about child development. The questions and answers, as read by one of Lansdowne’s team members, are inspired by the child development milestone checklists available online at www.LansdowneCentre.ca

As a SmartStart Hub in the Grand Erie region, Lansdowne connects families of infants, children and youth with physical, communication and/or developmental needs with services, supports and resources. Radio listeners can learn more online about free resources including child development checklists and education videos, and how to submit a referral to connect with Lansdowne rehabilitation and support services. Lansdowne also connects families with community partners like Haldimand-Norfolk REACH and EarlyON Centres.


MyFM is based in Simcoe (Norfolk) and is a part of the My Broadcasting Corporation, promoted as “Ontario’s local broadcast company”. The 98.9 FM signal reaches listeners in Norfolk, Brant and Haldimand, delivering hyper local content with a contemporary blend of today’s music.
