Mobile Cancer Screening Coach returning to Lansdowne Children’s Centre Brantford site


The Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Regional Cancer Program’s Mobile Cancer Screening Coach is returning to Lansdowne Children’s Centre’s Brantford site on Tuesday, March 3.


The coach can provide screening mammograms and cervical screenings on site, as well as help accessing an at-home poop test to screen for colon cancer, and resources to help quit smoking. The coach’s first visit to Lansdowne’s Brantford site was in September 2025; during that visit, in just five hours, over 55 cancer risk assessments and screenings for breast and cervical cancers were completed. 


Appointments for the March 3 visit are available from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. (with a lunch break from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.). You can schedule your appointment ahead of time by calling 905-975-4467 or 1-855-338-3131, or drop in on the day of (drop in appointments are subject to availability).


The coach is available for anyone in the community who meets the eligibility criteria. To access the services, you will need to present either your OHIP or Interim Federal Health Benefits card.


Translation services are available.


Remember: when cancer is detected early, it generally means less treatments, less time in recovery and a better chance of survival.
