BRANTFORD, ON – The Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Regional Cancer Program’s Mobile Cancer Screening Coach’s visit to Lansdowne Children’s Centre in Brantford on Tuesday, September 16 was a huge success.

In just five hours, over 55 cancer risk assessments and screenings for breast and cervical cancers were completed. Attendees were also able to access resources to help quit smoking and an at-home poop test to screen for colon cancer.
In light of the impressive response to the cancer screening coach’s initial visit, Lansdowne staff are currently working on scheduling another visit in the near future.
To find the full schedule of where the coach will be in the community, as well as further information about the services offered – all of which are provided free of charge – visit hnhbregionalcancerprogram.ca/cancer-screening/mobile-cancer-screening-coach/
Remember: when cancer is detected early, it generally means fewer treatments, less time spent in recovery, and a better chance of survival.
