Safety First, PPE Continuing at Lansdowne

Updated: Aug 3, 2022

On Monday June 11 you will still be asked to please mask-up when entering a Lansdowne Children's Centre operated site. For the safety of clients and staff who are high-risk, Lansdowne management has shared intention to continue COVID safety protocols, including wearing of face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) where appropriate.

The province of Ontario is scheduled to lift mandated COVID protocols on June 11, releasing venues and businesses from restrictions that we have all become familiar with since 2020. While no longer mandated by the provincial government, any organization or venue may choose to continue their safety requirements as they deem essential to their/others health and safety needs.

At this time, Lansdowne Children's Centre is choosing to keep current COVID protocols in place, i.e. wearing of masks, other PPE as appropriate, and screening individuals entering Lansdowne operated sites. These safety considerations were last updated in January 2022, when the province announced a move to Modified Step 2 of the Roadmap to Reopen.

Lansdowne leadership will continue to review protocols and is in communication with local health units and regional partners to ensure we are basing decisions on the best available information, and always in the best interests of our client families and our dedicated team members.
