A Gift of Kindness, Thank You Grades 5/6 from OLP School!

An incredible act of random kindness from a local Grade 5/6 class absolutely made our day. 💚 Our hearts are full after receiving the most thoughtful poster and letter. 💫 Thank you for brightening our day! Big thanks to our friends at Our Lady of Providence Catholic Elementary School, Brantford.

Dear Lansdowne Children’s Centre Staff,

In February, at Our Lady of Providence Catholic School, we celebrated Random Act of Kindness Day, Pink Shirt Day, and generally the themes of kindness and gratitude for others. We are always discussing various ways that we can improve mental health for ourselves and for others and how that expressing gratitude is a “win‑win” situation.

At the onset of February, I presented a chance activity to students at a Grattitude Challenge in which they were tasked with finding each day a way to express gratitude toward a supportive teacher or caring classmate. Classes randomly selected an individual or a group of individuals from a selection of names.

As a result, the Grade 5/6 class chose you!

On behalf of Our Lady of Providence Catholic School, and this class of students and staff, please accept this package as a means to bring some joy for you; to lift you up, share our thanks for you, and to put a smile on your face!

With much gratitude for your ongoing support to our community,

Mrs. K. ChartrandPrincipal
